THE CHALLENGES AHEAD

You will be part of a team of experienced and dynamic systems administrators.

MAIN DUTIES

  • You will be responsible for the decommissioning of physical and virtual servers, as well as the SaaS services running on them.
  • You act as the point of contact for level 3 support in response to various requests and incidents related to the operation of the IT infrastructure and all systems and servers.
  • You will assist development teams and other IT teams (technical support and operations support) as needed during incidents.
  • You will collaborate closely and be involved in strategic projects with other IT teams, including user support, corporate application support, systems architecture, etc.
  • You will recommend and execute changes to the cloud server environment to improve efficiency, reliability and performance.
  • You will plan and implement VM upgrades, maintenance patches and fixes provided by vendors and strategic partners.
  • Establish and implement policies, procedures and technologies to ensure the security of systems and servers.
  • Develop and maintain training materials and server documentation.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) or Attestation of Collegial Studies (AEC) in computer science
  • Microsoft certification (MCSA, MCSE, etc.) (an asset)
  • VMware vSphere certification (an asset)
  • CCNA certification (an asset)
  • ITIL 4 Foundation certification (an asset)
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in technical support and administration of systems and networks.
  • Solid knowledge of the Microsoft Windows environment (Servers 2012 and +, Active Directory, GPO, PowerShell, etc.) and single sign-on (SSO) schemes.
  • Advanced experience of VMware vSphere v6+.
  • Knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN and NAS.
  • Experience with Veeam backup and replication solutions.
  • Experience in managing cloud systems: Azure, M365 and SharePoint, AWS, etc.
  • Experience with Cisco, Avaya and Brocade switches.
  • Experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP and other network protocols, DNS, DHCP, LDAP and operating system configuration.
  • Mastery of ATLASSIAN products (JIRA, Service Desk Management, Confluence) (an asset).
  • Impeccable customer service.
  • Highly motivated, autonomous and attentive to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage priorities and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to present ideas both in highly technical language for IT management and in layman’s terms for the user community.
  • Finally, you stand out for your analytical skills, your team spirit and your human qualities.
  • Bilingual (French/English) spoken and written.
