BOM (Buddy of Mine) is a mobile app that offers a whole new way to navigate the Quebec job market: refer a candidate for a position posted on the mobile app and get a reward ($1000 to $5000) for your referral when that person is hired. You can also apply for a job that interests you and get the same reward if you’re hired.

Yup, it’s totally free. The mobile app is free to download, as is creating an account, and we intend to keep it that way.

The BOM mobile app is available for download on the App Store for iPhone users and the Play Store for Android users.

Unfortunately, BOM can’t be accessed on a computer via the app or our website.

BOM doesn’t share your personal information with anyone. The only person who has access to this info is the recruiting officer. When a candidate is selected for a job, BOM shares information about the applicant with that particular employer.

Friends, family, former colleagues, industry acquaintances. Basically, whoever you feel is qualified. Got wind of a position and think you know the right person for the job? Go ahead and refer them.

Absolutely! By the way, you get the same reward if you personally apply for a job on the app and get hired.

You can track the status of job applications directly in the “My Activities” tab on the mobile app.

BOM offers a reward ranging from $1000 to $5000, depending on the position, for each referral that completes the selection process and lands the job.

The person you referred got the job? Once the hiring process is complete, a member of the BOM team will contact you for payment. Since rewards are issued via direct bank deposit, you’ll eventually need to provide a specimen cheque.

It takes 90 days starting from the date the candidate is hired for the reward to be paid. This timeframe serves as a guarantee to the employer, ensuring that the candidate remains employed and isn’t going through the process just for the reward.
