Payroll Coordinator

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform activities related to Canadian and/or U.S. payroll production within the required timeframe, in compliance with tax rules and company policies and procedures;
  • Enter data for support payments and garnishments;
  • Reconcile payroll records and resolve discrepancies by collaborating with the Finance Department as required;
  • Balance and prepare payments to various vendors;
  • Produce various monthly reports;
  • Respond to various requests from internal and external clients;
  • Participate in year-end activities for Canadian and American payroll and ensure compliance of the process and respect of deadlines;
  • Participate in the integration, testing and implementation of improvements, interface and tax updates to the payroll system;
  • Participate in various projects as required.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • College diploma in administration or accounting;
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar position;
  • CPA or APA membership is an asset;
  • Experience with a major payroll software and knowledge of SAP is an asset;
  • Experience with US payroll is an asset
  • Good knowledge of payroll rules;
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel.
