Payroll Coordinator

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform activities related to Canadian and/or U.S. payroll production within the required timeframe, in compliance with tax rules and company policies and procedures;
- Enter data for support payments and garnishments;
- Reconcile payroll records and resolve discrepancies by collaborating with the Finance Department as required;
- Balance and prepare payments to various vendors;
- Produce various monthly reports;
- Respond to various requests from internal and external clients;
- Participate in year-end activities for Canadian and American payroll and ensure compliance of the process and respect of deadlines;
- Participate in the integration, testing and implementation of improvements, interface and tax updates to the payroll system;
- Participate in various projects as required.
WORK EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- College diploma in administration or accounting;
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar position;
- CPA or APA membership is an asset;
- Experience with a major payroll software and knowledge of SAP is an asset;
- Experience with US payroll is an asset
- Good knowledge of payroll rules;
- Mastery of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel.
