IT Support Analyst Level 2

MAIN MISSION

  • We are looking for a Level 2 IT Support Analyst to carry out all the day-to-day technical operations required to keep our service infrastructure running smoothly.
  • Provide technical and functional support to internal users and external customers through our ticketing system.
  • Document the root causes of user problems in our project system so that developers can develop a solution.
  • Configure and administer servers.
  • Participate in various process improvement projects.
  • Propose system improvements.
  • Monitor alarms via our monitoring systems and tools.
  • Update technical documentation, procedures and work instructions in the company WIKI.
  • Collaborate with various teams to optimize all IT processes.

YOU WILL BE IN CLOSE CONTACT WITH

Internally

  • The operational team (manager, supervisors and agents), the software development team and the support team of the Canadian subsidiary.

Externally

  • With users, customers, interpreter agencies and service providers.

YOUR TECHNICAL SKILLS ARE

Linux system and application administration: Software installation and system configuration.

  • Software installation and system configuration.
  • Analysis of system and application traces.
  • Shell scripting.
  • Setting up monitoring systems (monit, nagios, etc.).
  • Web site administration.
  • Backup management.

Network administration:

  • Analysis of wireshark traces.
  • Firewall management.

Complementary skills required:

  • Telephony over IP and RTP protocols would be a plus, as would experience of administering Asterisk or SIP proxy solutions.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript and HTML would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of software such as Ansible would be an asset.
  • You are flexible, resourceful, responsive and a good communicator.

Working conditions: On-screen work, very occasional travel, on-call every second or third week.

Level of diploma: Engineer (or Technician with over 3 years’ experience) in the field of information technology, networks and/or systems administration.

Languages: Bilingual, able to read and write technical documents in both English and French, and interact with hearing customers and suppliers in both languages. Knowledge of LSF sign language is an asset.
