YOUR ROLE:

Reporting to the General Manager, the IT Director is responsible for planning, implementing and executing IT strategy, managing the IT team, external suppliers and implementing innovative IT solutions to support our business needs, growth and mission. He/she is responsible for consulting and mobilizing all stakeholders in the organization’s growth and continuous improvement projects.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement overall IT strategy, directions and action plans in alignment with organizational objectives;
  • Implement the transformation plan to ensure the organization’s digital shift;
  • Develop effective relationships with external suppliers, including technology partners and service providers, to ensure quality deliveries and high service levels;
  • Manage the planning, execution and delivery of technology projects, such as website development, systems integration, infrastructure enhancements, and ensure quality of execution and delivery;
  • Maintain the operation of existing systems to ensure the availability, security and performance of all technology services;
  • Implement best-practice security measures, including policies, procedures, protocols, monitoring and training, to protect the organization’s sensitive data;
  • Implement data governance, structure and deliver performance indicators and dashboards for the organization’s services;
  • Ensure the development of business intelligence to support the organization’s various processes;
  • Collaborate with other departments in the organization to understand their technology needs and provide appropriate technical support;
  • Keep abreast of the latest relevant technological trends and advances, assessing their applicability and recommending innovative solutions to improve internal processes and customer services.
  • Train and coach a high-performance team of IT professionals that fosters mobilization, collaboration and skills development;
  • Develop and manage budgets under your responsibility, for projects and operations, ensuring cost optimization and efficient use of resources;
  • Direct, plan and control all human and material resources required and/or available;
  • Define the structure, roles, responsibilities and objectives of your team, and the nature of collaborations with internal and external stakeholders.

THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR HAS:

  • A university degree relevant to the position and 5 years’ relevant experience in a management role and in the implementation of ERP systems;
  • Management skills and will be recognized for their leadership and communication skills, working collaboratively;
  • An ability to problem solve and make ethical decisions for animal welfare
  • A passion for animals
  • They will be bilingual (French and English)
